Capitec Pay is South Africa's most widely used bank-to-bank digital payment method. Capitec now serves over 25 million clients. Capitec Pay saw 488 million e-commerce transactions in 2025, and continues to grow. Stitch is a certified payment provider for Capitec Pay, enabling businesses to offer it as a checkout option on any website, app or platform.
Customers authenticate payment directly in their Capitec banking app using a pre-registered ID. No card details or redirects, and minimal friction.

How it works
Customers can pay with Capitec Pay via Stitch and authenticate payment in their Capitec banking app.
Your payment page displays Capitec Pay alongside other payment methods through Stitch's unified checkout.
The customer receives a push notification in their Capitec banking app and confirms the payment using their registered Capitec ID.
Stitch receives real-time confirmation from Capitec and notifies you immediately. The customer sees a success screen, and you can release goods or credit their account.
Customers can save their mobile number so they can pay faster whenever they use Capitec Pay on the same merchant with Stitch.
