Capitec Pay is South Africa's most widely used bank-to-bank digital payment method. Capitec now serves over 25 million clients. Capitec Pay saw 488 million e-commerce transactions in 2025 and continues to grow. ## How it works

Paying with Capitec Pay

Customers can pay with Capitec Pay via Stitch and authenticate payment in their Capitec banking app.

1. **Select Capitec Pay at checkout**  
Your payment page displays Capitec Pay alongside other payment methods through Stitch's unified checkout.

2. **Authentication in the Capitec app**  
The customer receives a push notification in their Capitec banking app and confirms the payment using their registered Capitec ID.

3. **Instant confirmation**  
Stitch receives real-time confirmation from Capitec and notifies you immediately. The customer sees a success screen, and you can release goods or credit their account.

Customers can save their mobile number so they can pay faster whenever they use Capitec Pay on the same merchant with Stitch.
